Heart & Hustle: Jacqueline Mooney

Olympic gold medallist Cate Campbell said “If I don’t put myself in a position to fail, I’ll never be in a position to succeed”.

Jacqueline Mooney heard that advice first hand, as editor of Women’s Health and the champion of its Women In Sport Awards which have honoured the likes of Cate Campbell, Ash Barty, Sam Kerr, Ellyse Perry, and Layne Beachley AO.

It was all going extremely well for this media luminary until disaster struck this year: her magazine closed. Not only did she have to make her whole team redundant over Zoom, she got the same treatment! After 27 years of devotion to work, she now has none. She’s learned a lot about herself and why Cate was right.
